About Us


We are three brothers and a friend who set out on a journey to create genuine neighbourhood Trattorias reminiscent of the fabulous family-run places of northern Italy, where we all grew up.

At Alba we make all our pasta in house every day, our pizza is proved for over 48 hours and we celebrate the best of traditional Italian cooking, alongside spritzes, negronis and small-batch regional Italian wines.

We also have sister sites Mele e Pere which we opened in Soho in 2012 and Gotto Trattoria on Canalside Hackney Wick which we opened in 2016, as part of our independent The Trattoria & Bar Group collection.

We live locally and are so excited to have opened our own place in the heart of Wanstead!
